Application Notes

Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Double Diffusion, Counter Current Immunoelectrophoresis (CCIEP) and in a variety of gel techniques. CCIEP: 40 ul antiserum vs. 10 ul plasma, wells 6mm apart. 100v for 30 minutes. The use of 3% PEG 6000 with 1.2% agarose in a suitable buffer (such as TBE or Tris-barbital, pH >8.2) is recommended. Results can be enhanced by washing completed agarose gels in saline, drying and finally staining with a protein stain such as Coomassie blue. Double Diffusion: 20 ul antiserum vs. 5 ul vWF, 1 mg/ml. Immunohistochemistry: Specifically binds to endothelial cells on formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded, sections of human tonsil and pancreas.
