Application Notes

Suitable for use in ELISA, RIA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. ELISA: 1:500. RIA: 1:500. Western Blot: 1:250. Recognizes a single band of 150kD when denatured, but not reduced. Under reducing conditions recognizes two major bands of 25 and 27kD, and to a lesser extent the full length 150kD band. This pattern is consistent with the fact that mature alpha V is composed of a disulfide bonded heavy (125kD) and a light (25kD) chains derived from a proteolytically cleaved precursor. Immunoprecipitation: 10 ul of antibody is sufficient to precipitate alpha V/beta 1 from 5x1E6 cells. Immunohistochemistry: 1:500. Acetone fixed tissue only.
