Application Notes
The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested. The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc subunit of the IgG molecule. In immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against normal monkey plasma and serum, a single characteristic precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified IgG. No reaction is obtained with purified IgA, IgM and IgG/Fab fragments. In direct staining of cytoplasmic IgG in fixed monkey cells and tissue substrates. to identify circulating IgG antibodies in serodiagnostic microbiology and autoimmune diseases. to identify a specific antigen or immune complex using a reference antibody of monkey in the middle layer of the test procedure. This immunoconjugate is not pre-diluted. The optimum working dilution of each conjugate should be established by titration before being used. Excess labeled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal. Working dilutions are usually between 1:20 and 1:80.
