Description: The recombinant mouse FAS consists of 159 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 18 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rmFAS is approximately 30-35 kDa due to glycosylation. A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain of mouse FAS (NP_032013.2) (Met 1-Arg 169) was fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
