Description: The recombinant rat IL6ST/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 839 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 94.3 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the rat IL6ST/Fc monomer is approximately 130 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation. A DNA sequence encoding the rat IL6ST (NP_001008725.2) extracellular domain (Met 4-Glu 618) was fused with the C-terminal polyhistidine-tagged Fc region of mouse IgG1 at the C-terminus.
