Description: The secreted recombinant human FAS comprises 159 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 18.2 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rhFAS is approximately 30-40 kDa due to glycosylation. A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Asn 173) of human FAS antigen (NP_000034.1) was expressed, with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag.
