Description: Restriction enzymes are used to recognize a specific sequence of nucleotides and cut double stranded DNA into smaller fragments at a specific location. Each restriction enzyme recognises different DNA sequences. PstI is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Escherichia coli strain that carries the PstI gene from Providencia stuartii. PstI activity is not affected by Dam methylation, Dcm methylation or CpG methylation. The optimum reaction temperature is at 37 °C. Concentration: 10000 U/mL Reaction Buffer: NZYTech provides PstI with a specific buffer, NZYBuffer A. For double digestions please use 10x NZYBuffer U (MB110, not provided). Activity in NZYTech Buffers: NZYBuffer A: 100% NZYBuffer B: 80% NZYBuffer C: (20)% NZYBuffer U: 100% () weak star activity is detected Minimize exposure of enzyme to temperatures higher than -20 °C.
