Description: Restriction enzymes are used to recognize a specific sequence of nucleotides and cut double stranded DNA into smaller fragments at a specific location. Each restriction enzyme recognises different DNA sequences. TaqI is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Escherichia coli strain that carries the TaqI gene from Thermus aquaticus. TaqI activity is blocked by overlapping Dam methylation. The enzyme acts at 37 °C or alternatively at 65 °C. Concentration: 10000 U/mL Reaction Buffer: NZYTech provides TaqI with a specific buffer, NZYBuffer C. For double digestions please use 10x NZYBuffer U (MB110, not provided). Activity in NZYTech Buffers: NZYBuffer A: 80% NZYBuffer B: 80% NZYBuffer C: 100% NZYBuffer U: 100% Minimize exposure of enzyme to temperatures higher than -20 °C. Incubation Temperature 37 °C/65 °C
