LP Sperm Test allows to determine a class of hydroperoxides derived from lipid peroxidation, both saturated and unsaturated. The method is based on peroxides ability to facilitate the oxidation of Fe2+ to Fe3+. The produced Fe3+ bounds to a chromogenic mixture developing a colour complex photometrically measurable.
