Description: Lipid peroxidation is an important indicator of oxidative stress. LP CHOLOX Test allows to determine a class of hydroperoxides derived from lipid peroxidation, both saturated and unsaturated: these, in human plasma, are mostly represented by OXIDIZED CHOLESTEROL. The method is based on peroxides ability to facilitate the oxidation of Fe2+ to Fe3+. The produced Fe3+ bounds to an indicators mixture developing a colour complex photometrically measurable.
