SARS-ACE (residues 1-76) protein.SARS-ACE contains the N-terminus Envelope proteinimmunodominant regions, amino acids: 1-76.SARS-ACE is purified by proprietary chromatographictechniques.SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) Coronavirusis an enveloped virus containing three outer structuralproteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), andspike (S) proteins.Spike (S)-glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellularreceptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viralentry into susceptible target cells.Accordingly, S-protein plays an important role in virusinfection cycle and is the primary target of neutralizingantibodies.
