SARS-ACM (residues 182-216) protein.SARS-ACM contains the matrix protein immunodominantregions, amino acids: 182-216.SARS-ACM is purified by proprietary chromatographictechniques.SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) Coronavirusis an enveloped virus containing three outer structuralproteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), andspike (S) proteins.Spike (S)-glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellularreceptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viralentry into susceptible target cells. Accordingly, S-proteinplays an important role in virus infection cycle and is theprimary target of neutralizing antibodies.
