Description: MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000. Pepsinogen I, a zymogen, or proenzyme secreted by Chief cells in the stomach, is cleaved to form pepsin both in an autocatalytic fashion and by pepsin itself. In humans there are two related forms of pepsin, Pepsinogen I, also known as Pepsinogen A, and Pepsinogen II, also known as Pepsinogen B or progastricsin. A protein precursor to pepsin, Pepsinogen I or Pepsinogen A is secreted exclusively by the chief cells of the gastric corpus. The levels of Pepsinogen I correlate directly with the active number of chief cells in this area. In cases of severe atrophic gastritis of the corpus region, the chief cells will be destroyed and the levels of Pepsinogen I will fall dramatically.
Recognizes human pepsinogen I, both zymogen and proenzyme.
