Description

Description: The protein contains the C- terminus of gp46 and most of p21E of HTLV-1. This non-fusion E. coli derived protein starts from HTLV-1 envelope amino acids 165 and ends with 440. The protein is purified by proprietary chromatographic technique. Background: Human T-cell leukemia virus (HTLV)-1 and -2 are deltaretroviruses that infect a wide range of cells. HTLV-1 has been found primarily in CD4+ and CD8+ T-lymphocytes in vivo, whereas CD8+ T-lymphocytes are thought to be the in vivo reservoir of HTLV-2.
