Description

Description: The protein contains the HTLV-1 gp21/gp46 immunodominant fragments, amino acids: 374-400 (gp21) and 190-207 (gp46). The protein is purified by proprietary chromatographic technique. Background: Human T-cell leukemia virus (HTLV)-1 and -2 are deltaretroviruses that infect a wide range of cells. HTLV-1 has been found primarily in CD4+ and CD8+ T-lymphocytes in vivo, whereas CD8+ T-lymphocytes are thought to be the in vivo reservoir of HTLV-2.
