Description: Siglec-1 cell surface antigen, also known as CD169, is expressed by subsets of cells of the macrophage/ monocyte cell lineage. CD169 is preferentially expressed on cells in the late stages of maturation. It is expressed strongly on alveolar and tissue macrophages, but weakly on blood monocytes.
